How to Buff with Fluffy Duck Buffer™
Natural or Acrylic Nails
1. Starting with the yellow side, slowly buff in a steady backwards-forwards action for 5-10 seconds until you achieve a matt lustre… This step will remove unsightly ridges, stains and the unevenness that creates dullness. Basically it leaves you with a blank canvas to work on.
NOTE: You only need to do this step once a month as your nails grow slowly. Doing it more frequently will not improve results, it will simply thin your nail.
2. Buff with the white side for a seriously WOW effect. For a high-gloss,
squeaky-clean shine, the secret is in the momentum, simply run the buffer across the nail bed in quick motion for 5 seconds or until you hear him squeak, it really is as easy as that!!!
You should repeat Step 2 once a week or as required... If your nails get
dulled for whatever reason, just top them up with a light buff on the white
side and your nails will be back to new!!
Duck Tips
- Wash and dry fingers and toes before buffing.
- Our “Duck” doesn’t like oil, he’s aquatic. So don’t use any oils or creams whilst buffing
- The “Duck” is a buffer, not a file. Always buff flat against your nail surface, never along the nail edge.
- Great on your toes too, lasts all summer long!
Polished Nails (Note: must have top coat over polish)
The Fluffy Duck Buffer™ gives great results on polished nails... BUT you must
use only the white side or you’ll buff away your colour! For an instant glossy
rejuvenation, buff with the white side and watch your week-old mani be
brought back to life.
IMPORTANT: Before you start buffing with the Fluffy Duck Buffer™ make sure that you wash and dry your fingers and toes. It’s very important that you remove any oil or cream residue as this can affect the white side of the buffer causing it to peel or perish. Always buff flat against your nail surface, never along the nail edge.
How to File with Fluffy Duck® File (fruit scented)
Whip out your favourite fruit scented file, ‘Cherry’ is my personal favourite…
Start with the fine grit (duck side) for your hand nails and file from corner to centre. It’s important to file in the one direction, not back and forth or you’ll damage your nails.
For tootsies use the medium grit (pattern side) in a similar motion, moving from corner to centre… As you file the air is filled with a relaxing fruity infusion to calm as you pamper. Filing has never been so much fun!
How to Nourish with Fluffy Duck® Cuticle Treatment Oil – Goodnight Treatment
Neglected cuticles can make your hands look really unattractive.
But you’ll be pleased to know there’s an easy way to remedy this! For beautiful
nails and finger tips the trick is to nourish cuticles and nails with a daily dose of
Cuticle Treatment Oil. The solution is easy, regular maintenance. All you have to do is get into the habit
of doing your cuticles each night, just like you do your teeth. Use the applicator
to dab one drop of oil at the base of the nail of each finger and then gently
massage into the nail and cuticle areas.
NOTE: This step should be done at night before going to bed to allow the oil to penetrate and absorb into the skin overnight. Do not buff after applying oil to your nail. |
