Fluffy Duck Buffer™, named after the Fluffy Duck Cocktail, was created to fill a gap in the retail market-place for a speedy one-stop nail care product suitable for everyone. How often do you hear women say “Don’t look at my nails, they’re awful”. So many women don’t have the time for regular manicures and are constantly apologetic about their hands. Following the successful launch of the Fluffy Duck Buffer, MONCINA has now brought out two great new products for every woman, the Fluffy Duck Scented File and Fluffy Duck Cuticle Treatment Oil. More products in the Fluffy Duck range will come out in summer 2007.

MONCINA was started in 2002 by Catalina Lechner. Catalina comes from a strong background in hospitality management and spent many years in the hotel industry. This was followed by a highly-successful period in, of all things, the IT training business. Following the sale of her IT company in 2000, Catalina created MONCINA (named after her two daughters) as her way of bringing to the Australian market a comprehensive range of nail products that are innovative, of superior quality, and that combine wherever possible a fun element.

Catalina is very well connected in the USA nail industry and is constantly looking to bring the advances in technology and technique she learns there to the Australian Nail Industry. She is very concerned with hygiene and sanitation in the Nail Industry and in setting new industry benchmarks. With a wealth of information about nail health, technology, process, sanitation, hygiene and new products, Catalina is a valuable source of expert advice or comment.

MONCINA and Fluffy Duck are based in Edgecliff, in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs where, as well as a showroom, we also offer top-quality nail salon services.
